October 24, 2004:  Come to cinematheque on Halloween and see my zombie movie for $4 - it plays last.  Hmmm, what else is news?  Chris Reeve... yep... oh and bottomless depression.  Also I am missing gumbyscousin... probably because she is mostly imaginary.

September 12, 2004: Yea that's right, now Netfirms is where it's at!  Other extensions of my webworld include Myspace: http://profiles.myspace.com/users/5092579
Also click here to see one of those Sin City stills:

I've already seen Shaun of the Dead, and you should too, cause it's pretty fuckin' funny.

September 11, 2004: Nothing's blown up yet and none of my favourite musicians have died.
I have been getting drunk and writing emails, it's the new getting drunk and phoning people.  Now there are people that won't respond to my emails at all anymore.  And I don't know what I wrote.
I've decided to shave my head.  Yea I reached that part of a man's life where he decides he can't fuck up his look anymore than it's already fucked.  I'm gonna wait until it snows so that I can wear a toque, because I will look ridiculous.
I found some stills from the upcoming Sin City movie.  If you don't know about Sin City, it's a Robert Rodriguez/Frank Miller/Quentin Tarantino movie based on the Frank Miller comic book of the same name.
I read Dan Bern's book Quitting Science, and I love it!  But who is surprised?  Not you.
Other news is that some painter chick named Marlene Dumas stole all my shtick.  She paints dead people and porn.  Now I am old news, uninteresting.  I should have had a show, damn I should have had a show.

January 26, 2004: Has anyone ever heard of a recent movie called Comic Book: The Movie ?  Neither had I.  Click on the name for a review of the new DVD.

January 18, 2004: I Added a newspaper article on Sarah Stock to the Wrestler page.  Unfortunately this Tripod account is now out of space so who knows what will happen.  This may be the last update for quite a while.  Either I delete some stuff or upgrade.  Golly, some donations would help, you cheap-ass fuckers!  I haven't had one cent donated since this site has been up.

January 16, 2004: I added the comics section (above,) and found this awesome conversation between two of my favourite directors, Paul Thomas Anderson and Lars Von Trier (Click here.)  Kill Bill Volume 1 will be on DVD April 13th:

January 12, 2004: Just thinking about Kill Bill Volume 2, and how bad I want to see it.  Also about Uma's Bruce Lee suit:

January 8, 2004: Some stuff.  First a pic of my friend's brother with my hero Dan Bern.  Also a pic of Dan Bern that I took at Folk Fest.  And finally, an article on the science of porn.  All part of this balanced breakfast.

Lost in Translation is a great movie.  How can Sofia be soooo good, and her brother Roman be so... not?

Sex and the City: Season Five (on DVD) is only 8 episodes long and it cost as much as Season Four which was 18 episodes long!  Also I just saw Matrix: Revolutions and it sucks hard!  Learn from my mistakes!

You must watch the Garfield trailer.  Yes, the orange cat is going to be on the silver screen!  Click Here!

Click on the Kill Bill 2 poster and link to a site with spoiler pics from the film:

Here is the Spider Man 2 Teaser:

I can't wait to see the Vincent Gallo's second directorial venture Brown Bunny.  And I also can't wait to see the film adaptation of the great Mike Mignola comic Hellboy.  The pics link to the movie trailers:

American Splendor is an awesome movie!  See it immediately.  Also go rate Adam's hotness here - (it got as high as 8.4 ladies)

And in case anyone hasn't seen it yet, there is a brilliant clip from my now defunked zombie movie of a girl being disemboweled here: https://gumezine.tripod.com/ashley.wmv

Here are a couple DVDs I'm looking forward to.  Sex and the City Season 5 (Dec 30,) and Escape from New york ,with commentary (Dec 16.)

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 30th Anniversary DVD came out today (Oct 14) but neither Future Shop or A&B Sound seem to know that.  In fact Future Shop guy tells me they will never stock The Texas Chainsaw Massacre because Future shop is a family store.  Rigghhhhtt.  Funny that they sell Day of the Dead.

The beard is 21, and its days are numbered:

Here is some art for you.  Because I love you, and I hate everything:

I saw Ichi the Killer and Once Upon a Time in Mexico, both are very good.  Also the paintings page has been updated to include my prized, rejection letters.

Johnny Cash and John Ritter are dead.  Ritter died last night and Cash died this morning (Sept 12.)  Tragic.
Johnny Cash's recent work was in my opinion his best.  I hoped he would sing a Nirvana cover, because I know he'd do it well.
And who among us hasn't loved John Ritter at one point?  Three's Company, Slingblade, Bride of Chucky and his recent appearance on Conan O'brien were all wonderful.

I love The Joe Schmo Show (Tuesdays on Spike TV,) and I can't get enough of it.

I can't wait for these two movies to come out.  Click on the Kill Bill poster to see the gorgeous Uma Thurman:

I just bought a wide angle lens for my camcorder.  Shweet.  Click on the pic.
